Pop diva Madonna has officially submitted her request to adopt a girl child from Malawi. Her appeal will be investigated by the court next week. This will be the second child that Madonna will adopt from the Mchinji Home of Hope orphanage in Malawi.
The girl's name is Mercy James as confirmed by the court clerks and she is 4 years old. Next Monday, the pop star will be appearing in the court to abide by the adoption procedures and she will be reaching Malawi by the end of this week.
This is the second time Madonna will be adopting a child from Malawi. Previously, she had adopted David from the same orphanage amidst controversy. Many local citizen of Malawi were against the adoption of David saying that adoption by non-residents from Malawi is against their law.
