Although the latest M. Night Shyamalan's film The Last Airbender, has failed miserably in terms of critical perception (as one of the worst films of the filmmaker, which is not a great victory considering that the past productions of Shyamalan's were equally lamentable),
people at Universal, probably stimulated by the success of the film at the box-office, decided to support him in his new project: a horror trilogy called The Night Chronicles.
The first film of the series, originally known as The Night Chronicles: Devil is now simply Devil and was written by Brian Nelson after a story conceived by Shyamalan himself, and will be about some people who, after being stuck in a lift, they realize with horror that the devil is infinite among them.
We don't know more about this horror plot, but judging by the vague information, is very likely to be the kind of movie that combines horror elements with standard psychological factor (we expect a number of characters much shaped and more complex than in a dozen horror movies, in which characters simply exist without history, they just exists, to be brutally killed).by FW Editor |
