We are informed that Leonardo DiCaprio and Clint Eastwood would collaborate on a film about the life and controversial career of J. Edgar Hoover, who had founded the FBI and started the modern police investigation.
The project will be supervised by people from Warner Brothers.
Hoover's role is a very complex one, because the entire life of this character was crossed by uncertainty and suspicion that he was gay, that he hides all varieties of sexual perversion, that his frustrated way of directly speaking in public hides a huge contempt against all legal means and authority institution, and that he has initiated at least some reprehensible methods of catching criminals and make them accomplices to betray and so on
Script was written by Dustin Lance Black (Milk). So far the project has no formal title...by FW Editor |
