According to Kim Kardashian no one really knew her family life during her marriage. She claims that she was a victim of domestic violence. No one had any idea about the way she was living with her ex-husband.
There are a few documents from Kim's divorce in 2003. It looks that music producer Damon Thomas beat and abused her several times during their marriage. What is really scary is that Thomas punched Kim in the face and demanded her to get liposuction.
The documents were shown to the public first in Daily Mail. That time, 19-year-old Kim was dating 29-year-old Thomas. They tied the knot in 2000, January. Kim said that soon after they got married, her husband started to beat her.
"Damon first hit me a few months after we were married," Kim said in the statement. She went on describing several instances of alleged abuse in detail.
"One incident occurred on the day that Damon and I were going skydiving with Justin Timberlake," Kardashian added.
"Before we left home, Damon hit me in the face and cut my lip open. I fell into the bed frame and banged my knee hard."
Kim also tells about another incident in which Damon "learned that I had paged someone." This led to another violent episode. "He became enraged and punched me in the face. My face was bruised and swollen as a result."
"I thought about calling the police but was afraid and decided not to do so."
Kim is talking about another incident giving details in the alleged papers, Kim says, "Thomas came at me and slammed me against the closet wall ... He held me up against the wall with his hands around my neck and threatened to choke me. He then took one hand and punched the wall right next to my head."
Kardashian says that aside from physical abuse, Thomas used to abuse her psychologically. She even claims that her ex-husband forced her to quit her job, as he wanted to know where she was all the time.
Thomas "wanted to know where I was at all times." "He often arrived home at 4:30AM and expected me to prepare a meal for him at that hour," Kim tells. He also demanded her to "ask permission" when she wanted to go out with friends.
According to Kim, it looks like Thomas gave her thousands of dollars and told her to get liposuction.
In 2003, the violent husband filed for divorce. After three years of marriage, they split, Thomas having been ordered to pay Kim $56,000.
As a music producer, Damon Thomas worked with many famous artists, including Lionel Richie and Pink. One of his great achievements was to produce the soundtrack for the Oscar-nominated 2006 film "Dreamgirls."by FW Editor |
