Kelly Clarkson to Promote Continued Education

Tuesday, August 18 2009

In a TV special entitled Get Schooled: You Have the Right, Kelly Clarkson and basketball star LeBron James are slated to promote continued education as part of the National Education Initiative.

The special, which will feature the young adults who will join and work with Clarkson and James, will air on September 8 on selected Viacom outlets.

In a statement, Clarkson said, "Lots of young people run into problems beyond their control, like finances, that keep them from pursuing their education. At that point, it's easy to give up. But I believe it's important to continue to work hard and learn from everyone and everything around you."
