T.R. Knight may be leaving Grey's Anatomy but Katherine Heigl is reportedly returning to the show to continue Dr. Izzie Stephens' journey on the hit TV series.
An ABC representative confirmed that Heigl is indeed not leaving the show. Rumors surfaced before that the actress wanted to focus on her movie career that's why she opted to leave the drama series.
The rep also said that Jessica Capshaw who is known as Dr. Arizona Robbins on the show will be back as well. At the end of last season, the viewers saw an ambiguous image of Heigl's character, Dr. Stephens, after surviving a surgery for her brain tumor. She was last seen on an elevator wearing the dress she wore during Denny’s death.
Meanwhile, when Knight announced that he's leaving the show, he exclaimed, "I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to play this character."
