John C. Reilly believes that the best environments for the directors is the movie, while the actors best environment is the theater.
He think that an actor on stage should fill like a fish in the water, which is why he prefers the theater experience.
The actor who is 45 years old native of Chicago admits that an actor polish his talent on stage, being in direct contact with the audience and not on the set where the director holds the bread and the knife and dictates how to interpret a sequence or another.
He said for Movieretriever.com: "To play in a stage is an experience that power generators for an actor.
The movie, however much I love it, is an environment for the director, not for the actor. The actor provides the raw material, and after that, the director turns it into something else.
The theater means only the public and the actor. There are rehearsals during which the theater is influential by a director, but then he vanish. I really like that.
I think that despite the fact that I won money and I built a career in cinema, I am more suitable as a theater actor. "
The star nominated for an Oscar in 2003 for the role of Amos Hart in the musical "Chicago" claims that most of moviegoers know him from the comedy "Step Brothers" in which Will Ferrell was his partner, than from the notable projects like "Chicago" "Dark Water" or "Magnolia", which is a disappointment for him.by FW Editor |
