Jennifer Lopez is reportedly replacing American Idol judge Paula Abdul on the hit singing competition since the latter has not signed a contract to continue working on the show.
A representative of Lopez denied the reports saying, "The rumor of Jennifer Lopez throwing herself in the ring to take over for Paula Abdul is completely false. Jennifer loves Idol but just as a fan."
"She just wrapped the feature film The Back-Up Plan, due out January 2010, and will release an album then as well," the rep continued. The rumors surfaced when Lopez and Idol host Ryan Seacrest were seen dining at Madeo in Los Angeles. During that time, Seacrest even told the reporters, "Jennifer and Paula would be a hell of a combination" on American Idol.
