Given the economic slump, the host of NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno presented his so-called comedy stimulus plan to Detroit residents who are currently facing increasing unemployment and weakening auto industry.
Leno told reporters before his monologue, “The idea is just come on down, hopefully forget your troubles for a while, other people are in the same boat as you are and maybe take some of the weight off, that's all.”
In his 80-minute speech, he talked about cars and struggling American carmakers, the price of gasoline, air travel, and many more topics.
The arena has the capacity of about 15,000 people.
