Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart Enjoy the Hippo

Friday, April 10 2009

by Joe Halls

The 66-year-old actor Harrison Ford, and fiancée Calista Flockhart went to the zoo with Ford’s son Liam. There they enjoyed the joy of feeding a hungry hippopotamus.

Though having large and protruding teeth, the Nile hippopotamus named Happy was a herbivore and not a meat-eating animal.

The Indiana Jones actor and the animal’s keeper fed the hippo with green beans at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington. 8-year-old Liam, being brave, also tried to feed the hungry semi-aquatic specie.

They also visited other animals in the zoo including the tigers, giant panda, and Kibibi, a female baby gorilla.
