Ellen Pompeo will soon become a mother as confirmed by Jennifer Allen, her representative. The 39 year old actress, known for her stint in "Grey's Anatomy", was married to Chris Ivery in November 2007 and she is now pregnant with his child. The couple have known and have been dating each other from 2003.
The actress has been recently seen in Los Angeles buying things for her baby from shops around the city. Allen said that it is a great news and Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery are "ecstatic" at the prospect of Pompeo's motherhood.
Born in 1969 in Massachusetts, Ellen Pompeo has received a number of award nominations including the Golden Globe and an award from the Screen Actors Guild for her role on "Grey's Anatomy" where she plays the character of Meredith Grey.
