Geoffrey Rush confirmed in the role of Barbossa in 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides'

The folks at Variety inform us that Geoffrey Rush will be back in the skin of Captain Hector Barbossa in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
The rumors are circulating for a long time, but apparently only now they are beginning to formalize the details of the production.
According to some sources, except Jack Sparrow, which is still essentially for the franchise, and inevitably the element node, because is the main character and the interpretation of Johnny Depp is brilliant (we refer to the news which are claiming that the actor will not be back in Pirates of the Caribbean 4 which would have meant undoubtedly and unquestionable the death of the franchise) everyone is ready to start shooting.
The fourth film of the series will return to some old and well known characters including the Trilogy... and Barbossa.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will be directed by Rob Marshall and will go into production this month in Hawaii.
