Roger Federer, the man
who has won 13 Grand Slam singles titles, declared that he has finally married his girlfriend
Miroslava Vavrinec, aka Mirka, in his homeland on Saturday. The Swish tennis sensation declared
the news on his official website.
Among those present on the occasion were his family and close friends. The couple had been
expecting their first child since last month, as Federer had announced. Now, they have officially
tied the knots which marked the their relation as legal. The two had met at the Olympics of 2000
in Sydney. There, the duo had represented
target="_blank">Switzerland in tennis.
Federer, the world number one tennis player, had been playing professionally since 1998, two
years before meeting his girlfriend, and present wife, Miroslava Vavrinec.
