Eminem on Jessica Simpson's Parody

Eminem on Jessica Simpson's Parody

Friday, May 15 2009

by Joe Halls

The first single of Eminem's new album Relapse, We Made You, made headlines as the rapper lambasted several pop icons nowadays on that song including Jessica Simpson.

Slim Shady told Detroit's Metro Times that he actually was hesitant at first to lampoon Simpson because of the fact that "Tony Romo is one of my favorite quarterbacks," he said. "So I felt kinda conflicted doing the Jessica thing."

He pursued what he planned anyway which is apparent in the music video of We Made You where a fat Simpson lookalike eating hamburger was shown. The musician later revealed that his songs are "little time capsules of what's going on in pop culture right at that moment."
