Eminem Became The First Artist To Sell 1 Million Digital Copies Of A Single Album

Tuesday, July 12 2011

With lower and lower profits, the music industry is slowly fading year after year. However, some artists are more visionary than others. The best example for now is Eminem . He became the first artist to sell a million digital copies of a single album, Recovery. Paul Rosenberg, his manager, said in a recent statement: "Over the years, we've made a concerted effort to engage Em's online fan base, so this achievement is especially rewarding."
Recovery features two #1 hits: Love The Way You Lie and Not Afraid. Recently, Eminem released the third single, Space Bound.
Another artist is close to join Eminem. Lady Gaga recorded more than 900,000 digital sales and still counting of her monster 2008 release, The Fame.
