Don Henley, who is among the musicians who found the legendary band, The Eagles, have filed a court case against US Senate candidate, Charles DeVore, for violating copyrights by illegally using two well-known songs without consent of Henley.
On Friday, Henley had filed the lawsuit in a California court claiming that the Republican candidate has misused two of his songs, namely "All She Wants To Do Is Dance" and "The Boys of Summer", which were used in campaign videos of Charles DeVore. The videos had been uploaded on YouTube, as said in the lawsuit. Additionally, in the video of the song "All She Wants To Do Is Dance", DeVore had changed the original lyrics and put in other words offending his competitor Senator Barbara Boxer.
Mike Campbell is also a petitioner in this case. He had partnered with Henley to write the song "The Boys of Summer".
According to Don Henley's spokesperson, Henley and Campbell are moving to court to save the rights of their song and protect them from being infringed.
