We recently found out that Dennis Quaid has decided to reveal what had really happened with his new born twins at a Los Angeles hospital, in 2007. The babies were one step closer to be killed at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The cause was medical errors.
Qaid said recently to the Associated Press that Thomas and Zoe were given by mistake an overdose of the blood thinner heparin.
"There were 41 hours where their lives were in the balance." Quaid told about the most frightening day of his life. He and his wife, Kimberly, were left in "shock, anger and confusion."
After a while, the star decided it was the moment to make some research. That was when he thought he should warn people about it: "This is a preventable error."
After all these, Quaid and his wife end up with an agreement with the hospital, up to a $500,000.
As for his professional activity, Dennis Quaid produced a documentary regarding 'Chasing Zero: Winning the War on Heathcare Harm.' We only have to wait to see it on Discovery Channel. It will air April 24. "If you hit them in the heart, it sets the hands to work," he added.
As for the baby twins, Quaid say they have "apparently no ill effects." "We were really lucky to have a happy ending," he said relieved.by FW Editor |
