Debbie Rowe Will Mourn in Private

Tuesday, July 7 2009

Debbie Rowe, the biological mother of Michael Jackson's children Paris, 11, and Prince Michael I, 12, decided not to attend the memorial of the pop legend on Tuesday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

"The onslaught of media attention has made it clear her attendance would be an unnecessary distraction to an event that should focus exclusively on Michael's legacy," her lawyer Marta Almli said.

"Debbie will continue to celebrate Michael's memory privately," Almli added. Rowe has similar decision as Jackson's personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray who preferred not to attend the memorial service.
