No ruling was given to extend a restraining order against Britney Spears' ex-manager Sam Lutfi and attorney Jon Eardley. It was Jamie, Spears' father, who filed a request on January 30 saying that Lutfi and Eardley simultaneously harassed the pop star.
The Womanizer singer's court-appointed lawyer Samuel Ingham told Judge Aviva Bobb, "My client's situation has improved dramatically over the last 14 months. (A permanent restraining order against them) is in my client's best interest ... She has suffered emotional distress."
Lufti's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, argued that the singer "cries for help" and that "not one threat or act of violence was directed at Britney Spears."
However, Roger Diamond, Eardley's attorney, questioned Jamie's conservatorship and said that the singer chose Eardley to represent her. The next hearing is set on April 28.
