According to some sources, the beautiful actress who is 35 years old, dyed her hair red because of a TV show casts.

Christina Hendricks revealed she used to watch young shipwrecked schoolgirl Ginger on '60s TV show Gilligan's Island which still is a source of inspiration to her.

"As a kid, every day I would come home and watch Gilligan's Island and Ginger was on there slinking around in her beaded gowns and purring and everyone was scared of her," explains Christina.

"I thought - I like her. She was this representation of femininity I was also really into Anne of Green Gables. She was red-headed and free spirited and I also wanted to be like her. I think I was supposed to be born a redhead." she added.
