Maybe this could seem wired for many of you. But it seems it is quite comfortable for Cher' oldest son, Sony Bono. He decided he should change his name. He says that this new name will reflect better his personality.
As you might know, there are persons that strongly believe their name represent them. That is what Sony thinks too.
"Chaz Bono has filed a formal petition in California Superior Court to legally change his name and gender," the Transgender Law Center's Kristina Wertz told E!News. "He is legally changing his name from Chastity to Chaz as part of his gender transition.”
It seems Bono went on with these formalities for changing his name once he started the process of gender reassignment.
The 40-years-old Cher's son talked openly about his changing process, last fall: "gender is between your ears, not between your legs. I've felt male as far back as I can remember. As a child it was really clear. I felt like a boy."
We should keep finger crossed for the soon to be Chaz Bono! We know that he will have a hearing set for May 6. Good luck!by FW Editor |
