President Barack Obama’s daughters are so delighted for the arrival of Bo, 6-month-old Portuguese Water Dog, in the White House. The dog was given as a gift by Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy who has three dogs with the same breed.
Such breed is described to have high spirits and is fitting for allergic children like President Obama’s eldest daughter Malia.
As first time dog owners, the first daughters were very excited even after their dad promised them a dog during his campaign for presidency.
The Washington Post reported that Bo’s name came for 2 reasons. First, the cousin of Malia and Sasha own a cat with that name. Second, the first lady’s father was popularly known by his nickname, Bo Diddley.
