Being cast as a villain in the tabloids all those years must have provided some training ground.
As we found out lately, Angelina Jolie is planning to play a part in the new version of Sleeping Beauty. She is in talks to star as Maleficent. We know her as the evil fairy godmother from the same fairy tale, soon to be in a new live-action version of the Disney classic, which is to be retold from a new perspective.
What does Tim Burton needs more? The best recommendation could not be other than playing with Johnny Depp, I think.
The director of Alice in Wonderland keeps reworking classic fairy tales. He has not decided yet about the place to take the movie. What is left to see, then? The missing piece is whether Angelina Jolie is interested or not in this project.
