Amy Winehouse Cleared in Assaulting a Fan

Amy Winehouse Cleared in Assaulting a Fan

Monday, July 27 2009

Amy Winehouse pleaded not guilty in assaulting a fan, Sherene Flash, at a charity ball in London in September.

At court three of City of Westminster, Chief Magistrate Timothy Workman delivered the verdict saying that he "cannot be sure that this was not an accident. The charge is therefore dismissed and defendant discharged."

Winehouse was later spotted outside the court telling one of the reporters, "I'm going home, bro." Her spokesperson Chris Goodman relayed, "Amy would like to thank her family, friends and legal team for their support during this difficult time. She has always maintained her innocence and is very happy to move on with her life and put this episode behind her."
